How do people, whose hands are gone, use the computer mouse? Well, you can go to Guinness to see the answer, but I say it's simple: through their mouth. I have a peculiar hobby of playing with a straw with my mouth. I can actually move it any way that I like. I have watched a TV show, one time, where this handicapped man paints with his feet. He had no hands so he used his feet as an alternative.
Did you know that your tongue is a muscle? It's actually considered by some people to be the strongest muscle of the human body. I've watched this one movie where a paralyzed girl, whose only moving muscle was her tongue, controlled her wheel chair through her tongue. She kept the tiny controller in her mouth, but she spoke normally.
Handicapped people use an alternative mouse, depending on their needs. A friend uses a pointer that looks like a stylus for her touch screen monitor. She has no difficulty using the computer with the pointer in her mouth. She's actually a graphic artist who calmly creates and designs different Photoshop brushes. What I want to tell you is that you should not lose hope even though you're feeling weak about life because even a handicapped person can paint the world with colors.

The evolution of our technological world also requires our work evolution -- from a simple and focused single-tasking to a complicated multi-tasking activity. This is how the world goes and we have to deal with it. However, technology has also never let us down because its tools and devices have evolved. We just have to know where to find these multi-tools. Let's admit it, multi-tasking makes our work faster and more productive. The power of multi-tasking lies not on yourself alone but on the tools that you use.

The 6-in-1 multi-tool has two sets that include a wood saw, bottle or can opener, needle-nose pliers, point knife, wire cutter, and a screw driver. The additional feature is the mini LED flashlight. This powerful multi-tool is compacted on a keychain so you can bring it anywhere. For as cheap as $14.99 you will be able to bring convenience with you in your family camping, or your Carribean group getaway.

This handy multi-tool is prohibited in theaters, malls, bars, restaurants, and such places. The basic reason is because it is dangerous. As a buyer, it is your responsibility to be aware of the law about these tools. On the contrary, there are places that allow this kind of tool like a public campsite or a park. You must also keep it away from the reach of your children. Lastly, only use this tool for non-living objects.

Because Helen Keller learned how to read through the sense of touch, the technology has created a keyboard for those who are blind and deaf. This new keyboard also uses the sense of touch for a blind person to feel the letters in order to enter the words he likes to type. This is really amazing because he doesn't need to look at the monitor nor the keyboard just to be able to enter words with a keyboard.
Thursday, May 10. 2007
This keyboard for those physically impaired people came from the prestigious University of Barcelona in Spain. This keyboard is new and different from the normal keyboards. It actually doesn't contain the normal keys. Instead, it only has 8 keys that has Braille indicators. If you're curious how this keyboard is able to formulate a complete word, it's designed after stenography. So, just like a court room keyboard, a blind person can enter whatever word he wants with this special keyboard.
Wednesday, May 9. 2007
This special keyboard has also a special price for $700-$950. It is a little expensive for the obvious reason that it's a unique type of keyboard. Even though you're not blind and just want to buy this kind of keyboard, you're most welcome to have it as long as you can afford it. You just have to learn braille first before you can understand the 8 keys. It's also an efficient keyboard because it makes your typing easier and much quicker, doesn't it?

You don't need a boring tape recorder or even a cassette player just to record phone conversations. You don't even need to hide behind your sofa just to catch your husband if he's talking to another women. Lastly, you don't need to hire a detective. All you need is this: the telephone tape recorder interface. This is a new way of secretly recording suspicious phone calls. Inquire for one if you currently have a spying project to do.

The telecommunication industry is among the leading businesses across the globe. A lot of people talk through telephones or mobile phones, that is, if they are not using an instant messenger. This is why companies that want to protect us created this device. It is a lot easier to spy through telephones because you don't have to do anything. You just have to listen effortlessly. Of course, don't forget that you still have to put the device on the phone before you can have an access to it.

There's a difference between the stalking and phone spying. The former needs legs and an effort to travel wherever the stalking prospect goes, while the latter only needs the device and the prospect's phone. In stalking, you always need to hide, while in phone spying you just have to listen intently. This is also the advantage of phone spying because you are able to listen to the conversation unlike in stalking. Spying devices are for any telephone and mobile phones like the useful Sony Ericsson's, Nokia's or Samsung's.

This thermometer is used to detect body temperature through the ears. I know you're quite amused right now, but what you hear is true. Some hospitals use this thermometers to get a reliable detction of our body temperatures. It is more reliable to detect body temperature from ears because it is near the hypothalamus that the main regulator of body temperature. It actually receives data from your eardrum and gives you the result in a digital form. This thermometer uses infrared energy to emit the body temperature.
Friday, May 4. 2007
Our ears have pyroelectric crystals that are thin enough to be visible. This is where infrared energy goes, while the pyroelectric crystals develop a sort of charge the same as the energy collected by the infrared. When the ears discharge the crystals, it sends a pulse through its filters and circuits that can be compared to signals. This signal calculates the body temperature and displays it on the thermometer. It's a natural process of the human body.

Infrared Ear Thermometer is a a small tube that is inserted into your ears. It has a shutter that allows radiation to fall from your tympanic membrane and to go to the infrared detector. This thermometer beeps when it has finally calculated the body temperature. This is how amazing Infrared Ear Thermometer is. So, if you're experiencing sleeping disorders or other disorders, you might want to get this kind of thermometer to get the true temperature of your body.

Scanning has never been fun like this when I bought my HP ScanJet 4670vp See-thru Vertical Scanner. It is called see-thru because you can see the accuracy of the photo that you are scanning. Before, I had difficulty in adjusting the image positioning and I had to resize through Photoshop for it to look perfect, because scanning has a lot of effects as well as difference from the real photo.
Tuesday, May 1. 2007
This model of HP scanner is capable of scanning your colored photo as fast as 26 seconds, black and white photos 22 seconds, and for OCR and A4 32 seconds. Its preview only takes 6 seconds so you don't need to wait longer before you can start your work. It also has a lot of functions like copy, scan, power save, and HP Instant Share. If you want to retain the your photo's good quality even if you scan it, choose HP ScanJet 4670vp.

There are many scanners out in the market today and companies are producing more and more new models of scanners. But I know I have to choose only the best because I don't want to waste my money for nothing. So, I ordered this scanner from an online scanner market where they offer high quality products, most especially their computer gadgets. If you're a picky buyer like me, just choose the best. Or if you're not, just send me a message and I'll help you with your choice.

MP3 players are a good source of music and a good source of trouble. I thought my brother, Ian, already found the perfect music gadget when we bought the Sandisk MP3. But he's still not yet satisfied and he wanted me to go and check the local stores again. Now, I don't have anything against these music gadgets. But what's so special about them? They just play music that's all! Unless I can use them to prevent the squirrels from ransacking our house, I might as well buy another MP3 for myself.
Saturday, April 28. 2007
Ian forced me to go with him and check another series of music players, for he knew what I did not: these gadgets cast a spell to anyone who touches them. Soon, I'll be like my stupid brother. Soon, I'll have wires sprouting on my ears (I know nothing about Bluetooth wireless headsets anyway). And soon enough, I caught myself buying the petite Pioneer Inno, which looks more like a miniature phone than an MP3 player. The saleslady told me that it is the first digital music gadget from Pioneer
Friday, April 27. 2007
The pretty little Inno is both an MP3 and a radio receiver rolled into a small but powerful gadget. It comes with a 1.7" colorful display that features pieces of album information about the songs stored in its system. You can also mix some radio content with your song collection and record them by pressing the XM button. This player is available at a cheap price of $400, and I think it's already a bargain. Even the squirrels like it, so I guessed I need to buy a BB gun next.

Global positioning system (GPS) navigation devices were created with drivers in mind. It's a good thing that today's systems cost lesser and are more user-friendly than their predecessors. GPS gadgets are great especially if like me, you don't know where places are even if the electricity is on and the walls aren't falling down. They are also good for preventing unscheduled detours on the road which happens every time you're running late for the office.

Just like other GPS gizmos, MapQuest stores its data and maps on Secure Digital cards. The touch screen is bright so you won't have problems looking for directions even in dimly-lit places. At 4.5 by 3.6 inches (WH) and weighing 11 ounces, this gizmo is easy to pack and use. I like the voice directions (in 30 languages and 50 voices) because it gives me the exact location of places and things. I love it when the director speaks in German with its bedroom voice mode.

The Bluetooth GPS to personal digital assistant communication can cause a delay. But at $700, this helpful kit has color maps and it allows a three-dimension navigation view so you'll know that you're on a national highway and not on a bicycle route. The night mode view is also helpful because it has various color styles that you can choose from for your late-night driving. You can attach the device on your windshield so you can glance on it without taking your eyes off the road.
Monday, April 23. 2007
The perfect MP3 player was Ian's idea. My brother wanted to listen to all Green Day tracks, and he said he needs a perfect MP3 player. I think what he needs is a perfect psychiatrist, but an MP3 player is cheaper, so I gave in. We went to our favorite appliance center to look for the perfect MP3. I can't find a digital music device that has "Perfect" labeled on it. But Ian insisted on looking all over the place.
Sunday, April 22. 2007
"Excuse me, do you know where the MP3s are?"I asked. The saleslady raised her eyebrows and pointed the shelves on my left. I thought we needed to look for the perfect saleslady first. Ian found an MP3 player called SanDisk Sansa e260. It looks like the Nike iPod players, which athletes use to check their calories, that come with Nike shoes. It has a big color screen, and a thumbwheel surrounded by four buttons.
Saturday, April 21. 2007
The player is cheaply priced at $229. Just add $20 and you have an iPod Nano. It has a built-in microphone, an FM tuner, video playback, and music card slots that aren't found in Nano. e260 is just as big as Nano, but it's a bit thicker and relatively heavier than those players by Apple Computer Inc. Scrolling through song list with SanDisk's thumbwheel is child's play. However, turning it is a bit complicated.
